RuckusRoots is an LA-based 501(c)(3) non profit organization that merges art and sustainability into empowering, interactive experiences for young adults and teens. We aim to engage young people in creative opportunities that connect them to their communities, the planet and the artist within. Through immersive events, interactive installations, collaborative campus-wide programs and thought-provoking guerilla art, we unveil the positive, creative side of sustainability, transforming participants into proactive agents of change.
TRASHformation at NIghtingale Middle School
TRASHformation instills participants with a sense of environmental responsibility, teaches students about important recycling and reuse practices and allows them to learn vital sustainable building skills while also exploring their own creative capabilities as artists.
Our newest TRASHformation Program is underway at the D3 Lab at Nightingale Middle School in Cypress Park, Los Angeles. We began working with students in the D3 Lab earlier this fall. The students are currently in the process of planning, creating and executing an exciting new TRASHformation. Stay tuned for the final result and for progress reports and more images, keep your eye on our latest blogs!
